On-site orientation

Cemetery map

Two complementary tools: the municipal site plan for burial fields and facilities, and the interactive map for precisely mapped places.

Bogenhausen Cemetery plan as a PDF

The single-page plan at 1:500 shows St Georg church, burial fields 1 to 3, urn walls, two entrances, water points, a bench, waste bin, notice board and a parking indication. Save it before visiting; the PDF does not include a name search.

Interactive orientation

The interactive map contains ten precisely mapped points:

  • the entrances at Bogenhauser Kirchplatz and Neuberghauser Straße,
  • St Georg church,
  • the Soldner memorial slab,
  • two urn walls,
  • two water points,
  • both platforms at Mauerkircherstraße stop.

The water points are not designated as drinking water. Use the filters to narrow the map by category; the full text directory beneath it remains usable even if map tiles do not load.

Why parking appears only in the PDF

Both entrances are mapped as gates in the cemetery wall and therefore appear on the interactive map. The municipal plan also shows that a parking possibility exists and indicates its approximate setting. As a schematic drawing, however, it does not supply a sufficiently precise coordinate for it. Parking therefore does not appear as an interactive marker.

Use the PDF for orientation within the burial fields and combine it with address and directions. Finding a particular grave also requires a reliable grave or location reference.
